MADA Staffing Talk to us about training

Training & Development

We are much more than a staffing company.

MADA is built on 20+ years of post-secondary education experience alongside our years running operations in industry. We don't place people — we train them, then deploy them as a crew that already works together.

That is the difference between hiring an agency and hiring us, and it is the part your guests actually notice.

Customized training built to your standards

Why this matters to you

Training is not a line item we added. It is the product. Here is what it buys the client.

Your supervisors stop training temps

Orientation, service standards and role training happen before workers reach you — on our time and our cost, not yours. You stop paying a supervisor to run onboarding every time you bring in extra staff.

Job-ready workers, not warm bodies

Every worker is trained to a service standard before a first deployment. Guests get the experience you designed, from the first shift — not from the third one, once people have figured it out.

Crews that already work together

We deploy people who know each other and have trained together. Handoffs, pacing and communication on the floor come from practice, not from luck — so operations run smoothly under pressure.

The difference

Both companies will send you the headcount you asked for. Only one of them sends a team.

A typical staffing agency

  • Sends whoever is available that day
  • Workers have never met each other
  • No training — placement only
  • Your supervisor runs the orientation
  • Guest experience is a coin flip
  • Every event starts over from zero

MADA

  • Deploys a crew we selected and trained
  • Workers have trained and worked together
  • Training before deployment, every time
  • Orientation is done before they arrive
  • Guest experience is the thing we train for
  • The crew gets stronger every event
Sending eleven players onto a soccer field who have never met, never practised and never played together is not a team. It's eleven people. We send a team.

How we train

The same process runs before every worker reaches a client site, whether it is a banquet for eighty or a stadium for a weekend.

STEP 1

Recruit & screen

Right to work verified, references checked, and the attitude and reliability we can actually build on. We select for people worth developing.

STEP 2

Core training

Service standards, guest interaction, professionalism and workplace safety — delivered by instructors with two decades of post-secondary teaching behind them.

STEP 3

Client-specific training

We build a program around your standards, your venue and your brand, and run it before the first shift so the crew arrives already knowing your operation.

STEP 4

Deploy as a crew, then debrief

We deploy people who have trained together, then review what happened after the event and feed it back into the next round of training.

What the training covers

Open a track to see what a worker completes before we put them in front of your guests.

CORE

Service standards & professionalism

Guest interaction, communication, appearance and dress, punctuality, working under pressure

The baseline every MADA worker completes regardless of role. How to read a room, how to speak to a guest, how to hand a problem to a supervisor, and what professional presentation looks like on a floor.

ROLE

Role-specific training

Server, bartender, host, customer service and ticket sales, registration, kitchen, logistics

Each role gets its own training track — table service and tray technique for servers, guest recovery and queue management for hosts, ticketing systems and escalation paths for customer service and box office staff, station discipline for kitchen crews.

CERT

Certification

Serving It Right, FOODSAFE, security licensing, first aid

Required certifications are confirmed before dispatch and tracked so they stay current. Where a worker needs one, we arrange it rather than screening them out.

SAFE

Safety & site orientation

WorkSafeBC orientation, hazard awareness, venue safety, incident reporting

Young and new workers are the ones most likely to be injured on a first shift. Safety orientation happens before deployment, and venue-specific hazards are covered before the crew arrives on your site.

CLIENT

Customized client programs

Your service standards, your menu, your venue, your brand

Built per client and delivered before the first shift. See custom training below for how these are scoped.

Custom training for your organization

For clients who book us regularly, we build a training program around how your operation actually runs — so our crew performs like your crew.

We learn your standards

We sit down with your operations lead and document the way you want service delivered — greeting, pacing, escalation, the details that make the experience yours rather than generic.

We build the program

Your standards become training material: your venue layout, your menu, your systems, your brand. Written and delivered by instructors, not improvised in a pre-shift huddle.

We train before the first shift

The crew completes it before they set foot on your floor, and the same trained crew comes back for your next event. Your program compounds instead of resetting.
